Rehome A Pet

Rehome A Pet

iPaw understands circumstances arise where owners can no longer care for their dogs, a breeder or show dog may be retiring and in need of a home, or a death may have occurred leaving a dog in need. The decision to give your dog a second chance at a happy life is applauded and respected! As a safe and reassuring alternative to internet listings, newspaper advertisements, or shelter abandonment, iPaw successfully places dogs with new families who have gone through a carefully screened application process. Having every dog’s best interest in mind is at the heart of our cause, which also means we never release any of our dogs to shelters. You can feel confident that iPaw will find the best possible home for your family member. When a dog comes into our program, they start by visiting our veterinarian.  Each of our dogs are fully examined, and will receive any needed vaccinations, HW testing and/or treatment, deworming, medication, and any necessary surgeries, including spays and neuters. In addition, the dog will be microchipped, MDR1 tested if applicable, and will receive monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. We are committed to treating any illness or injury a dog has that we bring into our program.  Once the dog is healthy, it goes into a foster home, where it is cared for until the right adoptive home is found. It is important for iPaw to have as much knowledge as possible regarding the needs of your pet. Any information or documentation pertaining to your dog’s health and behavior will allow for a smoother transition into our program.
